I read that too before I bought it. I havent noticed any, but then again my ears have a little white noise built in If you upgrade the buds somewhere down the line, the system is first rate. I paid $200 or $225 bucks for it brand new (dont remember offhand), I'm thinking $140 paypal, includes UPS shipping. Trades accepted and preferred though.
