Anyone GAS'in for something new?

I have a few things that I could use but don't "NEED" at the moment, although I could still make a good case for a new Strat. At some point I should be getting a baritone guitar and an electric 12-string.
 
I’m meeting a guy tonight to hopefully get a Gretsch Rat Rod from him. Even trading my PRS SE One Korina.

I was lusting for one of those. Key word 'was'.

GC had one and I was so excited. But it left me cold. The matte finish on the neck just didn't feel right. But, damn, they are nice looking guitars.

I've been checking out a variety of hollow body guitars lately. None play appreciably better than my Epi Dot. And as I don't gig on guitar, the justification for getting another guitar just isn't there.
 
As far as guitars, yeah, but nothing I actually need.
I am seriously thinking about getting a Friedman BE-OD Deluxe pedal to put in the loop of the POD Go so I can go from clean to crunch to hair metal all in one preset.
 
I'm getting tired of the fact that my Katana doesn't like pedals and needing a computer to tweak effects. It's great for getting a quick sound, but not a quick "specific" sound. I dreamt a long time ago about having a pedalboard with an amp pedal, but most of those are just like a power amp only where I would still need a preamp pedal/modeler. But EHX seems to have brought out precisely what I want, with an effects loop, exactly in my "play at home" power range. And I like the sound of the preamp section a lot.



Oh, and my wife wants me to save up gift certificates to Thomann and finally buy a real fender strat. But I don't see myself doing it. I like my guitars and have everything covered.

Just get an acoustic/electric 12-string. I've had electric 12-strings, and they gather dust, whereas the A/E 12-string gets pulled out pretty frequently. With the appropriate settings, I can get the Tak to jingle-jangle just like a Ric.

I really just need something to record electric 12 string parts with. I'm not sure I want an acoustic.
 
I’m waiting on something fancy, the particulars of which are slightly out of my control…which has curbed any guitar nonsense I might get into in the short run. I’m mostly pleased w/ my stuff at the moment. The new thing might alter the balance, but I’m not looking to change anything right now.

Anticipation is apparently just as good as random GAS. Even effects wise the most I’m considering is a univibe or rotary emulator…and I can probably get close enough for rock with the pile of modulation I already have.
 
I own two 'proper' guitars that cover my needs, and then I'm getting rid of a Player Strat that served as an interim guitar until I could find the better one I posted here a few weeks ago. I don't feel like owning a lot of guitars that I need to keep clean and in playing condition.

I could use a good pair of active studio monitors, and maybe one day I'll build a nice little pedalboard with room for the three pedals I use, and maybe a tuner.
 
There's nothing I 'NEED', but I was talking to Rhino about Gretsch baritones, and I am coveting one a bit.
 
I still have some A/E resonator gas. The one I got from SurfSteve has neck problems that made it not cost effective to add a pickup to it. I like the Dean that is just like the old Rogue one I had years ago. But so far the Professor isn't getting any gigs so I don't want to invest in another guitar; I'll stick with the Gretsch Gin Rickey for right now.
