Anyone else satisfied with what they have?

Quite happy with what I've got - there's one for the single coil thing and one for the humbucker thing, and that'll do for me.

I have what I need to do the jobs I have to do right now, and I am pretty happy with it. There are a few things on my wishlist, but they are wants - not needs. Probably I need to get another P90 guitar....
 
I'm pretty happy with my gear. It's what I've always wanted, and as long as nothing breaks I'm good. I had to replace my G-major since it decided to die, but the Lexicon I replaced it with is a much better sounding unit IMO, plus I got a great deal on craigslist.

Now to find the time to actually use it. I have too many hobbies.
 
Pretty happy with my guitars. I could use a small solid state jazz amp w/ at least a 10 inch speaker and maybe a new music computer. What I have is fine for now.
 
If you don't count last year's build for my boy and this year's build for me, I haven't bought a guitar since 1999.

Try a ZT Lunchbox. Very clean sounding little amps that can get loud as hell. Under 10 pounds.
 
That's one advantage to being an awful player. I'm painfully aware that the tonal capacity of any guitar far exceeds my potential. This keeps my gas in check.

That said, the passing of Dusty Hill has reignited my desire to have an old P bass. Which is odd because I can't play bass.
 
There's nothing really that I feel I must have, so I'm happy with what I have at the moment. Pretty much got most things covered.
That said, GAS never ends. It's just resting right now :embarrassed:
 
I'm pretty happy, I have three guitars (well four, but one of them is on the other side of the world) and between them they cover most of the bases I need.

My Tele with B and G benders: Single coil Fender sounds, country, rockabilly, stonesy stuff, even indie stuff:

My Mockingbird: this is my mahogany bodied/maple capped, 24 frets, ebony board, twin buckers Gibson scale rock guitar. It's meant to do anything I would want a Les Paul, SG, or Explorer to do. Hard rock with more gain.

Last but not least is my DeArmond Starfire Special . This is the semihollow with Bigsby and retro DeArmond 2K pickups. Good for rockabilly, spaghetti western, and older styles like Duane Eddy, and Nuggetsy garage band stuff.

I'd be interested to own a baritone and an electric 12 string, but I'm not seriously GASing for them. I feel I'm pretty well covered I for most things I like to play.

Ooh that's a nice and sensible collection! I really like the look of that Starfire - I've never played one (or even seen one?), but if, and that's a big if I were ever to buy one more guitar it would be a hollow body or a semi with very similar specs. Maybe a Gretsch.

While I don't think of myself as an awful player (I hope that doesn't come across as arrogant), I have a very similar approach. Firstly, I have a pretty busy schedule and precious little time for playing and recording.

Secondly, I love playing and recording, but the whole production side of it is enormously time-consuming (at least for me because I'm in the process of learning how to do this properly). I guess I spend maybe 3-4 hours of mixing and editing for every 10 minutes of actually recording the stuff I play, so one more guitar would be kind of waste. The last song I did there were only four small guitar parts that I recorded in less than five minutes total, but I spent countless hours arranging, mixing and mastering the track, then getting some feedback and fixing issues, then repeat until I was happy with the result.
 
Over the years I've accumulated 29 guitars. I added it up once and it came to around $3000 and change. Including mods I've made. Amps and pedals probably another $2000. Over 30 years I've found that I enjoy working on and adjusting them as much as I like playing them and it's been wonderful. It's my hobby, not my living, so getting something figured out is a lot of fun and getting that Strat sound or Les Paul sound coming out using what I have is a great feeling. I'm grateful for every day I get to enjoy playing guitar.

Yep, EXCEPT, I am waiting on a Rev 12 string similar to @Peen Simmons 's that I think will be a nice addition. I think the only think else that would be nice would be a nice sounding small body guitar, OM style acoustic or the like, for song writing, etc. on the couch.
 
Yes, if we're just talking guitars. I have been happy with what I have have for a long time.

No, if we're talking amps and pedals. I need a better solution to my current needs:

At the moment I have a 2 channel head and a bunch of pedals, but besides singing I am constantly tapdancing. I need to find a solution to have 3 settings:

1. clean channel on amp + reverb + delay activated
2. distortion channel on amp + hm-2 activated (hm-2 gain set to 0)
3. distortion channel on amp with reverb pedal activated

Maybe I should get rid of my analog pedals and go digital?

I also need a portable mini head solution for gigs, looking to get a BluGuitar Amp1.
 
I've never been much of a gear flipper. While I certainly wouldn't say no to a few items, I don't feel compelled to go get them.
