Question: 4/20 and the Wienerdome...

A lot in the summer, very rarely in winter and spring, fall is somewhere in-between. Exclusively at night.

My wife's a fan, so it's always there. But alcohol is my drug of choice. It works better with me, it works better socially.

4/20 doesn't do a whole lot for me other than help me sleep or make me want to do yoga.

I don't get the concept that weed turns you into a loser burnout in the same sense that I don't think alcohol turns you into a puke covered piss stained gutter hobo......sure both have consequences if abused but abuse is down to the person indulging.

I've know plenty of pot smokers and drinkers who've resisted those pitfalls and plenty who've succumbed.

Not my thing. I used to partake, but it didn't do much for me. I was always more a peace and love hippie than a sex, drugs, and rock and roll hippie. :hippie:

Its years and years of the just say no mentality. Pot bad, beer good. I have a neighbor who's mom left his family when he was a kid. She was a total alcoholic and ended up dying because of drinking. His childhood best friend used to smoke pot in high school and he feels his friend did live up to his potential because of pot. His friend is a VP for a large corporation, probably more successful than any of us. My neighbor is die hard against pot, but drinks almost everyday. I don't understand his logic.

I know a number of folks who are pro drinking and anti weed, I also know a ton of people who don;t drink at all but smoke at the end of the day much like some would have a glass of wine after work.

In my experience most of the smokers are have less negative effects than the drinkers.
 
Both alcohol and weed can be used reasonably, or can lead to problems. I have dealt with weed smokers who allow it to take over their lives, and look at 4/20 much as an alcoholic might look at New Year's Eve or St. Patrick's Day. Neither substance is good or bad, it is what people allow it to do to them.
