30 Frets, No Waiting

Probably closer to 25 for me, I just wanted to make people think I can make it all the way to the 12th fret

well I do use the upper frets some, but only for wankywank stuff.

I generally have no idea what the hell I'm doing.

and I'm okay with that. :)

25 for me

Well, there's certainly no middle pickup fail. :embarrassed:

Actually, there is. The "neck" pickup is geographically about where a middle pickup would be. There's essentially no "neck" pickup geographically where one would normally be. So you actually have middle pickup fail compounded by the absence of a true neck pickup.

Either way...no thanks.

this man gets me.

Hmm, so Ibanez decided to do the Sky guitar thing (former Scorpions lead guitarist, and super shredder Uli Jon Roth plays Sky guitars nowadays), and make a 30 fret guitar. It might be interesting, but if it has the usual "shredder approved" Wizard neck profile, count me out.

The notes just start over at 12 so what's the point? Am I right? Guys? Aww nuts...

Washburn made a 36 fret, one upon a time. Only 30, that like the MIM version.

That's right, Washburn did do a 36! I forgot about that.

I like extra frets in theory. I'm not a virtuoso though, so i'd have little use for them. Wouldn't it make more sense to add a higher string and just extend it to like 27 frets?

Cool finish and price though.

Also...

Crooked pickup!

Is the crooked pickup thread archived anywhere? That was gold.

Good Lord!
Just imagine what Nigel Tufnel could do with that thing if it had been invented in 1984. I beleive he might have actually rocked his fans to death!
