2019 Baseball Thread

I've read a few opinion pieces seeking the lowering of the mound; I don't know, might be a good idea.

Might as well go to a pitching machine then. What they want is football scores in baseball games to keep the interest of ADHD 'fans'.

I think a strike would be the perfect way to end it all instead.

The Rays just did one of the weirder things I've ever seen on a baseball field against the Giants.

Kolarek was pitching. Roe came in to replace him. Ok no problem. But instead of taking a seat. Kolarek went to play first base, and the first baseman Diaz went to play third. Roe pitches to his guy, comes out of the game, Kolarek goes back to the pitcher's mound, Diaz goes back to first, and the Rays bring in a different guy to play the infield. I think he went to short and the shortstop went to third.

I've seen some weird shit in this game, but never anything like that for just one batter.

Yeah, wait what?

Never seen anything like that either.

That happens all the time in non-pro baseball.

Leave it to the Rays to use Little League tactics in a MLB game ...

It took a little time, but I'm enjoying watching the Astros' bats finally show up.
The series with the A's showed some serious pitching cluster fucks, but the team is starting to gel. I'm expecting 100 wins this season.

Some pretty entertaining wins on this homestand. :thu:

The Rockies have surprisingly been terrible at the plate all season. It seems they are finally warming up a bit, but they need to get healthy and start playing better ball. The NL is simply too tight talent wise to get too far out of the race even at this point in the season.
