Difficult at best. I have met a lot of people with metal in their faces. One shop thought I was selling stuff...grr.

I met a guy with a killer Sunn Model T. He was cool. Wasn't crazy about his work though. Found a guy I liked a lot...but his next opening was in October. Wtf! Can't blame him for kicking ass. Met a beautiful girl doing work...but not the style i like.

Its been a long time since I got a tat...I'm a lot more picky now.

the guy I used to go to moved to Malaysia or something...
his gal's doing some kind of humanitarian thing over there.

nto that it matters much, as I no longer live anywhere near where we were when he was doing my work.

but yeah, finding the right one can be a chore.
but better that than end up with ink that you hate, right?
 
I know a kick ass place in Lahaina. Go on vacation, get some new ink! :idea:

I love that tat Punchy...really nice work!

I shopped for 5 hours yesterday...I think I found a really good guy...I'm bringing him my idea Monday.

And I agree...its worth shopping for sure. I already have 2 crappy tats from my army days...ugh.

I've been hunting on and off for awhile since I'm doing my entire right sleeve. Haven't found anyone I liked THAT much yet. :(

And what's wrong with metal in their faces? :poke:
 
Dammit. Now I want another one. Think we're goin' to the Big Island this fall, it'll have to wait till then :grin:
 
I always liked tats, and always thought about getting a few that I have designed, but never got around to it... At 46, I guess I could still go for it, and blame it on a mid life crisis, although there is no crisis, since I'm still alive...
 
I'm thinking about getting a $100 bill tattooed to my dick.

I have a feeling I'll b playing with my money for a while...
 
I love my artist, but yeah, I shopped around a while to find her. She just recently switched shops to American Anchor Tattoo, which is a little further from my house, but worth the drive.

Seems like finding the right artist would be key. The wrong guy could be disastrous. If the tat sucks do you still have to pay?

Excellent question - since I haven't gotten any bad ink, I haven't had to argue to find out...
