Puppy Mojo Needed

Just got back from the Vet's with Coop. Turns out he has Congenital Heart Failure. :(When we got home this evening his belly was swolled and distended and he was crying like crazy. Vet said he was just completely full of fluid. Poor Baby. Had a level 3 heart murmur.

So now we are on pills and just seeing how it goes. Got another appointment next week.

On the funny side, the vet said that Coop had the "Heart of a 17 Year old Chihuahua"

Can't be worse then my old dog who lost his back legs. He also had metal balls. We called him sparky.

I think when i was throwing the rope toy thingie it was Cooper that ran tirelessly after it. Sure didnt seem like anything was wrong back then.

Yeah I know. He was fine, up until right after Pragestock. I think we broke his heart when we put up the electric fence. :( He's just been so listless lately. It has been very hard to watch. The good news is that at least now we know what's going on and he's on some good drugs.

The good news is that it's treatable, although it's definitely going to be a long-term care situation. I've known dogs who lived long lives, even with CHF, so you just need to watch for the signs of how he's doing. Doggie mojo... Cooper looks like a very Good Dog.
