Just thinking out loud but this is how my life would be easier on gigs:

Boss ES-8 (the best value for the buck it seems at the moment)

In each loop:

  1. Sparkledrive MOD
  2. Xotic RC Booster
  3. Carl Martin Andy Timmons Compressor/Limiter
  4. Strymon Mobius
  5. Strymon Brigadier Delay (eventually to be traded for a Timeline)
  6. Strymon Blue Sky Reverb
  7. Wampler Pinnacle Deluxe
  8. open or maybe my Phase 90 even though I have that sound in the Mobius.
I also have the Mission Expression pedal and an Ernie Ball Volume Pedal that would probably also end up on the board. Going back to Pedalstar Galactica. Tired of fucking around.
 
I just downsized again. After barn storm, I think I have a direction I want to go in and I think I can get it done with reverb, delay, phaser and 1 dirt pedal. I could do it without delay, but where is the fun in that? :grin:

If I were not doing the cover gigs I could actually use less than what I have right now. Most of the time it's a couple of drives and the mobius.
 
Next weekend I should have a chance to resume my homemade board project again. I've posted pics here before but I'll do so again since this is the pedalboard thread. Once it's done it will also be a pedalstar galactica. It's 3' long by 1.5' wide!!!

This is actually only a little bigger than the pedaltrain pro. I had to layout my pedals and measure the dimensions I'd need. The last part of the project is a removable cover and a set of casters. All the power supplies will be mounted under the board, the only cables that will be visible will be the patch cables. I decided to leave them on top of the board in case of having to troubleshoot at a gig.

I spent 3.5 hours on stage last night realizing that this thing would make my life much easier. And I don't use public transportation, so there's that.

What do you think of the mobius? Obviously you like it enough that it's a keeper. Any downsides?

No real downsides other than having to change patches in a hurry since you need to step on the right two buttons at the same time to bank up and the left two buttons to bank down. The sounds are really good (although I prefer my custom shop Phase 90 to their phaser sound) but for my kind of gig its a great machine. You can get better sounds out of many other dedicated boxes but for what this does I think its great. It's a keeper. Thanks @jaxn slim for the referral.

EDIT: And the ES-8 will change those patches for me via midi.

True, but it IS spending an extra grand or so when my earning is lower due to school. I'm thinking about either using the PayPal no interest for 12 months or hey might do a 24 month offer through sweet water.
