Achtung! Who else here has a watch fetish?

Who was it that started the Rolex forum bashing thing over at HC ages ago? That was veeeeeeeeery amusing. 'Chase' or something, where'd he go?
 
Oh and I have a 20 year old Fossil watch in deep red that I never wear but every time I see it stuffed in the drawer I think 'good looking watch, I really should wear it again', but never do.

My fetish is antique pocket watches and I have quite a few...my oldest is a legacy from my grandfather, and it's the one I usually wear, tucked into my vest pocket, on a chain and fob. Here's my latest aquisition:

And my cane, which I've used on bad days for the last 5 years (since the crash), has a silver wolf's head, looks quite a bit like the one Lon Chaney used in The Wolf Man...

Thanks...kids got it for me when I started walking again, told me they hoped it was OK, that they were looking for a dragon-headed one, but couldn't find one. Told 'em it's excellent!

Recently was gifted an antique sword cane...it's pretty sweet, although illegal to carry around here. :wink:

The watch and the cane are both bad ass.
 
I need to get one again. Hate digitals, and pulling out my phone is a PITA and often inappropriate at work (people think you are on fb, etc).

Need to find a nice analog piece that is affordable to wear to the new job.
 
Just got the pretty pink card from USPS saying I can pick up my next one at the PO on Monday! DANCING-banana
 
I used to have a neighbor in an apartment I used to live in. He gave me a really nice watch. It was worth around $1500 dollars. I really liked that watch.
The thing is, he was not only a liker of fine watches, he was also a drug dealer!

I knew this, but I thought hey...live, let live-I didn't give a flying holy fuck what he did.

Then some fuckhead tossed a Molotov through his bedroom window, because he was having an affair with some dickheads wife. That was the end of the watch.

and his apartment,
And my apartment.
And a bunch of cds I loaned him.
and a fine shortsword I loaned him.
and the entire crappy building we lived in.

Nice watch though!:)

Another from my herd. This was my first "expensive" watch purchase. Bought it new in '96 I think, when Zodiac still made real watches.
The Red Dot Diver Chrono.
A poor mans Speedmaster, and rare as hens teeth . Not real valuable, just really hard to find.
