Where in the World is Peen Simmons

I don’t know if you’ll discover exactly what lame thing I’m at.
I am staying at the Derpy City Hotel Casino because i got a solid deal on a nice hotel room better than what I would have gotten for less than $100/night elsewhere.

They gave me $20 of free play phony credit because I booked through a website for sad business travelers who book too many sad business trips. I turned this $20 free credit into $100 in actually real American dollars which I removed from the machines because I don’t enjoy gambling. Beers are cheap because this a not Vegas casino. And I have come out money ahead on this particular business trip.

Edit: I recognize it’s a shitty rich person flex to nonchalantly receive $100 for nothing and to look down one’s snoot at the folks really out here struggling with everything not to mention the gaming situation. Being a class traitor blows.

Oh yeah. It’s almost always a slog to somewhere less than glorious. I’m unexpectedly back on the road next Monday through Wednesday to a place that is frequently a punchline in American culture. (Not Florida this time.)

Everyone I know who has done that type of frequent work travel talks about how easy it is to slip into some really bad habits to kill the boredom and tedium that comes with the territory. It can really fuck you up.

Same.

When I have to travel for work now, I almost always bring a cheap guitar. It’s my favorite bad habit.

Alabama?

Are you one of those weirdos who hates Chicago for no good reason? :)
I may be a weirdo, but I don't do a lot of hating. Except maybe when it comes to strong cheese.

That could be just about anywhere.

The Big Beaver creek and the Little Beaver creek cross route 1 south of St. Anne so, I'm going to guess St. Anne or Papineau.
