I had a few Bowmore's last night in memory of my friend who just passed.

I've been really enjoying Elijah Craig Straight Rye, an excellent choice for around $30. Their small batch runs another $25, so I'm good with the standard.

Also, when I need a break from bourbon and rye, Michter's Small Batch Sour Mash is really tasty at around $43.

Rittenhouse BIB Rye @ $25 is steal when it come to "budget" straight rye; great as a mixer or sipper

I'll be honest I'm rocking a cornucopia of football booze, none of it high end, but I'm back home have just poured myself and of these.

Super smooth is the only way I can describe it.

I opened a bottle of Blanton’s tonight.
Poured a double, maybe a triple-ish and sipped it over 90 minutes or so.
Nice stuff. Fancy bottle.
