Waterslide Telebacker

People here are honest - don't get too bent. Yup, don't never do that pickguard again, y'hear? NEVER.

OTOH, by 'aged' I was not remarking on the relic job (to each their own, I have no strong feelings) but my concern about how pine ages. Pine is a more open-grained wood (even white pine) than, say, most alder or ash, and I'm concerned that if the wood is recently cut / green it could really change a lot over time.

@WaterslideGuitars , I like that you had the balls to post a reply.

Didn't care for the offering in this post, but as stated, at least you had the balls to reply.

Welcome!!!!

We're a sordid lot, here.
And pretty jaded. We're not cool, hip, particularly affluent, nor particularly welcoming, but hey...what the hell:

Welcome!

I'd like to see more....

Yeah, the pine itself definitely needs to be aged properly, I had some problems on a few early versions so I've since switched suppliers. And that pickguard can easily be changed but I'm glad it's gotten everybody talking, haha. It wouldn't hurt my feelings to put a "normal" pickguard on there.

As for other examples, I just put this one up on Reverb today. It's a little more traditional:

this is awesome!
save for the pickup rings :annoyed:
dont see the point....lose them and the pickguard could be bigger
