Waterslide Telebacker

Show me the way.

I did the shape and electronics. I'm not into the color or the relic-ing. Originally I loved the Fano versions, but at a third of their cost I'd get one from these folks first. Unless, of course, it was total shit sound wise.

Don't like the pickguard (at ALL .... shudder) but the rest is decent. I do have a concern about the white pine and how green the wood might be. What do you mean "aged?"

You guys are a tough crowd, haha. I've made and sold about sixty guitars over the last year and this is the only one that has the barf/shudder/chainsaw pickguard option. Come to think of it, I might change the name of the model to Barf/Shudder/Chainsaw.

"Aged" just means tinted nitro that's relic'd. Yes, I know... barf, etc

All of my guitars are one-offs so if anyone would like to check out my site (WaterslideGuitars.com), maybe there's something to like in there. And if you hate 'em all, well at least I'm not making Strat copies, right???

BTW, the shape of this guitar & german carve is taken from a mid-50s Rickenbacker Combo 800.

I checked out your site the other day. I really like the Gretsch Jet one and the Rick/Fano styles. I also like that you don't charge a fortune for them.

Feel free to stick around, we are a tough crowd, but we have a pretty diverse group here as far as guitars go. About a third of us will hate anything you you put up, a third will love it and a third will give it a solid meh

The first video that I posted of the blue guitar, that one is a short scale. I've made four or five like that one. Here's a short scale Tele-style with Kinman pickups:

I'm talking real short scale, 24 inch. Mustang neck. Maple, surf green body, tort pickguard. That'd be the sex.

Welcome to the forums, WaterslideGuitars. We love it when builders come by and hang out to talk about their craft. Don't feel too bad about the tough crowd. We hate almost everything most of the time. Anyway, welcome!
