Waiting for paint to dry is one of those times that teaches patience.

Milestone day. All the paint is on and it has dried nicely, it appears.

I've just begun sanding it out. You can see some orange peel on the headstock there. I have to first San all that smooth with 400 grit dry, then I'll move onto the wet sand and polish.

Keeping lint out of the white was a bitch. I was not 100% successful in my removal efforts.

The red one is a fiber off a towel I used.

Up to 2000 grit on these pieces. That's some smooooth shit. Time to put a gloss on it.

Ill probably put another firebird pickup in the bridge. We'll see how the neck pickup only does for a while til I have the $$ to buy something. I suspect I'm gonna want the bridge pickup, though. It's nice to just flip the switch and get a different sound.

Now I'm working on fret cleanup. The frets on the left have paint on the tips. The ones on the right are partially scraped.
The excitement is overwhelming.
