Achtung! Sooooooooooo any of you guys interested in the international sawker cup?

We're not the only ones that think so. Fox Sports called him out.

OK, now we can forget about it, but I hope Bradley picks up his game, or maybe should do like Wynalda suggests and take the "r" out of his name. :)

While he blew that possession, the goal was not solely his fault. It's a team sport, and his teammates needed to step up and stop Portugal's attack.

I think a lot of that is probably way outdated. Sometimes, a reputation hangs around long after the facts on the ground change.

Not until they changed managers before last season actually.
For years they'd use every trick in the book to win, including the shirtpulling, stamping players in their chest, breaking the legs on opponents and so on.
Goals were almost always scored on set pieces (free kicks and throw ins in particular) aimed at ridiculously tall people.

A few years ago their captain Ryan Shawcross broke Arsenal player Aaron Ramsey's leg in a brutal tackle (triple fracture actually!) and obviously got sent off for it. To this day their fans still boo Ramsey when Arsenal play there. Classy.

Ironically, after switching manager to Mark Hughes, they actually started playing proper football instead of rugby (something I didn't think was possible with that squad) and had their best ever season. Weird how it works sometimes.

The US has played very well defensively. Jones has looked very, very good all tournament. But their utter lack of offensive against Germany (until the last minute) is disturbing. Seriously - 90 minutes with NO shots on goal?

I think the US can beat Belgium, but they need to play better than they have all tournament. After that they have Argentina so it's all over if they make it through. Strange tournament. I can see Germany - Netherlands in the final.

Yup, he's out. He can appeal but the ban still stands even while the appeal is waiting to be heard.

Fucking Uruguayans are still refusing to accept he did anything wrong messedup0

Yet the rest of the world seems to be having some fun at his expense.

Maybe it's me as an LFC fan that's quite gutted over the whole thing, but I just don't see the humour in this.
That guy needs help more than people making a mockery out of him...:(
The club has tried, but clearly it's not enough. :embarrassed:

Without those incidents we'd all be talking about him as one of the greats of the game. And now he's in real danger of ruining his whole career because he can't control this. To be fair, the Uruguay team/leaders are not helping with their ridiculous stance on the whole thing either. It's just sad really. :(

Have a hard time feeling bad for the guy. It is like saying "he is a great guy if he would only stop hitting his wife." Whether he gets caught up in the moment or not, he has to control himself. If he was marooned and starving up in the Andes after a plane wreck, it might be a different matter.

Fwiw I wouldn't feel sorry for him if he was lunging into brutal career threatening tackles. That said, he only has himself to blame for all of this.
By all accounts he's a saint outside the pitch, more than anything I feel sorry for his wife and kids. Must be absolute hell for them.

He should be mentioned along Messi and Ronaldo for his football skills but keep ruining things for himself.

"My" club look like they will be getting rid this summer, the noise and controversy has probably become too great,
If he does something like this in a Liverpool shirt again, he'll be looking at a season long ban. The risk of that happening is just too big now.
And we fans seriously thought he had become better after being the world's best striker (even outperformed Ronaldo) for a full season without any incidents...and then this happens. Shame losing him, but we can't risk that happening really. Imagine having a player at 200k pounds a week and can't use him for a full season. Nope, can't have that.

Part of the punishment really should have been to get some professional help. Three incidences is not a coincidence. Dude needs help

So far the Brazilians look more like their usual demonic selves today...

That wild-eyed guy with the fro is good...

Plus they have a guy called "Hulk." How do you beat that?
