School me on Fender guitars please

Don't overlook Squire guitars. Depending on where they were made you could have a gem. I do not own any USA models but do own MIJ's and Squires.

My preference for MIJ's are mid 80's of which my 2 of my Strats and bass are from. Irony is that one of my Strats is a Squire from the E Series period. Great strat and feel.

Two of my Fender Tele's were parts sourced from Stratosphere and are MIM's. Guitars are solid and play really well. They do not feel like the green wood era of the 90's when Fender first started the MIM's.

FWIW, you gotta try them out unless you are parts sourcing.

Fender guitars are a solid choice – you’ll get great sounds and styles worth diving into! The iconic models are the Stratocaster and Telecaster, which have unique vibes. The Strat has a slightly more rounded shape, with a lot of versatility in tones – suitable for blues, rock, and even some jazzy stuff.
