Mojo Request I've been putting it off but I need some job mojo...

So I won't get into too much detail but a couple of months ago I ran into some corporate red-tape with my job. They are giving me shit about my health card(I'm a truck driver). I actually have a valid and legit card but my employer is refusing to accept it due to a prior examiner failing me, basically because I told them the truth. I'll never make that mistake again. I sought a second opinion from another DOT certified examiner...again told them the same truth and this guy passed me and gave me a card. The first place told me that my exam expires in 45 days if I do not fix the issue they failed me for. And I would then have to have another exam. So, on a technical level after the 45 day expiration the first exam is null and void and basically does not exist any longer.
I then submitted my passing card and my employer still is refusing it. I have an appt with a lawyer on Monday. I'm at my wits end.
They are going to bump me down to part time next week until it is straightened out.
I'm working on getting it straightened out but I just can't make it happen any faster....So I've been working on the dock for now. Needless to say my stress level is through the roof.
I got sent home today for calling my supervisor a fucking asshole.
I know, I know....

On one hand I'm grateful that they are allowing me to still work....but I'm going in at 2:embarrassed:0am....
Not very healthy for the marriage.
I basically don't see my wife at all except on the weekend and even then I'm too exhausted to to want to do anything.

Mojo...

I drove for Werner for 4 years on a contract fleet...had to update my medical every year because I was on blood pressure meds plus got pee tested about twice a year because of it...nothing but a hassle...

Sounds like BS to me too. If your card isn't acceptable for full-time, why would making you part-time change anything?

Good luck, I hope you can get it fixed.

Mojo. Hopefully you can get this crap all straightened out and get back on the road.

They have me on the dock in what they call a "non-driving" position. They are bumping me to part time claiming that I'm non-compliant for a driving position, yet they actually have me driving what's called a hostler (the yard jockey) which on a technical level is a commercial vehicle.

They always find a way to get what they want out of you...

Do you still drive?
I'd love to find a non-driving job. I'm so done with the BS.

I've applied to a Safety Coordinator position with another truck company but I haven't heard anything from them as of yet...

No...I got fired about 2008 after an accident...they posted a bunch of BS violations to the DAC report and it was impossible to find another job...

There are days I really miss the road, but after a number of years of struggle things have worked themselves out ok...I may go back to it someday, though...

The other thing that sucks:
A few years ago a co-worker had an accident in which a pedestrian was killed.
He was allowed to work the dock for a year and a half while the investigation was pending.
When you have an accident with a fatality, by law you lose both your CDL and your regular operators license.
He was "not qualified" to drive but they didn't bump him down...

Yeah, I'm just struggling to find something I'm qualified for that pays as good

Tell me about it. I don't dislike my job, but I hate working in IT. This is about the only IT job that doesn't suck. I would love to get out of it, but there is nothing I can do that will pay me as well. If I wasn't married with kids, I would bail and take some job that I enjoyed.
