How badly do you cringe when it's time to renew your License Plates?

Colorado is the age/value thing. Both of our cars are older (2011, 2012) so we pay about $45 per car for the year.
 
I don't cringe at all. If I'm renewing them, I don't know about it.
The yearly car registration tag cost isn't too fun. $350.
 
Here in Ontari-ari-ari-oooooh, we can do it online and it’s free - at least for renewal.

If you need new plates to replace beat up, lost, or stolen plates, you have to go in and it’s 59 Canookian per car - and we get two plates! That’s less than 30 bucks a plate. We can’t do this all day.
 
our last asshole gov changed it from calculating it based on the depreciated value to the initial value so that raised ours considerably.

plus veteran graphics plates, vintage car plates, dealer/garage plates, and plain old regular plates.
Organizations can apply to have their logo added. I don’t think that’s for private/commercial orgs though.
 
Wait, you have to renew plates? :messedup: I'm guessing it's a replacement for vehicle tax?

Here you just get one strapped to your car and unless it falls off, you never have to pay attention to it.
