I grew up listening to them as well as Molly Hatchet and 38 Special, among other Southern rock bands. One of my buddies was a huge fan of Skynyrd, and I had a several of their albums back then as well. I burned out on most Southern rock about 30 years ago.
My statement stands. Well, opinion, actually.
Music is an individual thing. I try not to step on other's tastes. Anyone who loves music is cool in my book. However, I despise those cork-sniffing elitests who are trying to hide their inferiority complexes with look-down-their-noses comments.

Have you listened to the Skynyrd albums? Their best stuff is not on the radio.
This is too easy... especially in the Boston radio market. I think that the idea of overplaying the ever loving shit out of a song originated here.
