Barn Storm 2017: Friday, the 13th of Rocktober

Starting to get stuff together for the weekend. I'm going to have so much delay, reverb and modulation, I am worried we may be transported to an alternate universe.

Did I bring cymbals last time? I can't remember if we needed them or not.
that's good, since you were very much lacking in those areas last year.

So, if I show up, bring an air mattress, sleeping bag, pillow, xtra power-strip....what else?

I think I'm out. I didn't get as much done around the house as I wanted to today, and I've already cancelled on mom twice. I probably should stick around and take care of her.

Priorities...being a grown up sucks, but what are you gonna do...

In lieu of guitars (of which there will be plenty), I am going to bring my newly built P-bass. I'll bring my SansAmp too and we'll see how it sounds through the PA. If I find it unsatisfactory a trip to Atomic Music may be in order to snag some sort of cheap bass rig...

I've been checking the local Craig's List for a cheap bass rig for the barn, but nothing. @Guitar Heel has a massive Fender cab. I think it may be a 2 x 15" cab. I wonder what speakers are in it and if it can handle a bass head.

The PA probably doesn't have enough power to be adequate unless we all turn way down (which we should do anyway)...and we should probably get a set of those ProMark drumsticks to tame the drums down a bit as well...

There's been a couple Peavey TNT/TKO bass amps on craigslist up here but I have no way to get them to the barn...

Depends on the head but I'd worry about blowing them up. A modern bass head won't pair well with a 70s Fender cab given the wattage (as far as I know)....
