I just got word that Molly Tuttle is playing the hall just 20 minutes from here! I don’t think I can pass that up.

Seen:
01/25/2024 - Living Colour @Tally Ho - Leesburg, VA. Played the whole Stain album w/ an "intermission" of a few other tunes & then finishing off the show with a few more. AMAZING.

Got tix/def going:
06/19 - Robert Plant & Alison Krauss @Wolf Trap
07/13 - DMB @JLL
07/28 - Black Pumas @Wolf Trap
09/11 - Jason Isbell & the 400 Unit @Wolf Trap

Hoping for:
1 of the Tedeschi Trucks Band @Warner Theater
Mike Burbiglia @Warner Theater
Any area Avetts Bros shows, but not going to see them open for Luke Combs...eff stadium shows...
Sarah McLachlan @MPP, but the only pair they have now is platinum for $495 a piece...wouldn't pay that for a pair for any show.
Norah Jones @Kennedy Ctr, listed as sold out...
Silversun Pickups @930
Hope __________ plays in the area and we can go:
- Ben Harper
- Robert Cray Band
- others...

Thinking about:
Raul Malo @Brichmere
Black Crowes @the Anthem
Decemberists @the Anthem
Allman Betts Band @Birchmere
Gary Clark @Wolf Trap
Lyle Lovett @Wolf Trap
Indigo Girls & Melissa Etheridge @Wolf Trap
Andrew Bird @Wolf Trap

Now it looks like I’ll be seeing Steve Hackett in April, a friend really wanted to go so why not? Could be fun. Looks like he’s playing lots of old Genesis stuff on this tour.

Taking my sister to see Sarah McLachlan in June.

Taking my eldest offspring to see Foo Fighters in July, with The Pretenders and Mammoth WVH opening.

Got ticket to see my fave band at the moment., Big Big Train, in October. If they're even half as good as the videos they've posted in recent years that is going to be a blast.
As far as I'm concerned they're the best prog rock band out there at the moment, and it's a damn shame more people don't know about them.

Was planning to see her again @ Merriweather Post on June 27, but the shed is sold out.
Huge fans, especially of Fumbling Towards Ecstasy album. Saw her twice on that tour @ the Beacon Theater & Radio City. Saw her a few years ago in Baltimore and she’s still got that voice.

"We just took some mushrooms. This might be a weird show. Vernon is off his tits."

He brought it up three more times during the night and I don't think he was joking. Maybe not some heroic tripping balls dosage, but just based on the energy, mannerisms, joking, and looks exchanged between Corey and Vernon I think it's entirely likely tonight's show was a chemically enhanced performance.

Vernon Reid is a goddamn monster and Corey's voice sounds exactly the same as it did 35 years ago. They burned through a mean version of "Kick Out the Jams."

Tried to get Pearl Jam tix today. They're just fine for me, but I know my wife likes them. $175 for the cheap seats (literal last row uppers)...hesitated and missed out. Big names are pricing themselves out of my willingness to pay for them. Anyone else experiencing this issue?

Just like dmn23 I saw Living Colour this year and they were phenomenal (as noted in my previous post), just killing it. $45 in small club, got a set list (for whatever that's worth), got to hear them play my favorite album all the way through. Last row in an arena for $175 to see what I know is good band, but one that doesn't really grab me...can't do it.

100% I think my son and I paid $275 each for the Yoshimi show coming up but that's The Flaming Lips doing Yoshimi front to back.
Pearl Jam I'd go as High as $100 but for good, not great seats. My concert going days are down to saving for those shows I know I need to see before I (or they) die.

Evan Dando last night. It was a ragged, shambolic set that was kind of charming in spite of itself. He covered Mike Nesmith's (Linda Ronstadt) "Different Drum" and Kiss' "Calling Dr. Love."
