Olympics stuff. In here.

PEDs really wouldn't help that much in gymnastics.... except maybe vault. There's so much more to balance, control, flexibility and spacial awareness that just being strong wouldn't help with.

except men's gymnastics. P-bars, uneven bars, pommel horse and RINGS......PED's would help a lot.
just sayin'

US men gymnasts are not doing well, so you won't see much of them on NBC. The coverage last night was better than the past few nights, but here on the West Coast I am royally pissed off that we have to get a delayed broadcast WAYYYY after the events have happened. Why not show them live? It is impossible, in this plugged-in era, to NOT get spoilers.
You can stream them live from the nbc.com website.

Phelps now has 21 gold medals. According to wiki, the person with the second most has 9. He has to be the most dominant athlete of all time.

That cracks me up. My brother in law, who lives in California, makes a very magical chocolate milk.

Indoor volleyball: why do both teams have to fucking all hug each other after every fucking point? I'm all for group hugs but how much energy do they waste on this?

The road cycling course had an extremely dangerous descent.
Annemiek van Vleuten was lucky to have only 3 fractured lumbar vertebrae and a concussion.

No shit I thought she might be dead when I watched it. That was a terrifying crash. So naturally today I broke my own personal record for downhill speed on a bicycle (not as fast as these guys and gals but I'm much much older...so it would likely kill me). panic0

Just watched the US men's Sabre (Homer) win to go to the gold medal match. I used to fence sabre so I like watching it. Homer was the better fencer (though the final was close 15-14). And the announcers were actually call the action pretty well. On the main NBC channel the competitions seem to be US only. I'm all for promoting your country but come on guys. In one final they were going on and on how fast the American was....he finished 3rd. Almost nothing was said about the other, faster, guys  So I've been watching the other networks (CNBC, MSNBC, NBCSN etc).

Not an option for me, my internet chokes on a youtube video or, a thread here, with more than one picture.
