Question: Your Least Favorite Youtube Gear Demo Guy?

Haha, I kinda like him too. Sure he's abrasive, but he often makes sense if you just filter out the "motherfuckers". He does tend to ramble a bit though. I always liked this one.

Scott Grove for me too.

There's a dude named Mike Gee...he's horrible. The thing is, he's usually only doing demos of stuff that he says he 'custom builds'.

What a too-too-toolio!



...if anyone can "UMM...AAAAH...UM.." as many times in their videos...damn, they got to be trying.
 
Scott Grove because he's an a-hole.

The Tone King because he calls himself the tone king.

I don't dislike the actual The Tone King (Louis?). What I hate is that you could hand him a '54 Esquire plugged straight into a real '59 Bassman and then a Jackson with some demonically hot pickup into a Randall Satan and he would somehow make both setups sound identical.
 
My introduction to Scott Grove was a YouTube video of his singing the praises of the mid 80's MIJ Fenders. I thought "man, this guy is cool and totally knows his shit" because he pointed out all of the ways they were so great, and superior to all contenders. I was an instant fan.

Then I watched more of his videos, and realized quite quickly that he said virtually the same things about every guitar that he demonstrated.

It was at that point, I came to the conclusion that he is just another dumb motherfucker.

The irony is when in one video he's like "THIS IS AWESOME, YOU DUMB MOTHERFUCKERS!!!" about MIJ guitars, then the next video is "GUITARS NOT MADE IN 'MERICA BY 'MERICANS SUCK, YOU DUMB MOTHERFUCKERS!!!".

Yeah, he had some pretty cool custom stuff until I called him out for trying to pass off a Squire Affinity tele as something he had custom built...:messedup:
