You guys ever watch OverHaulin'?

NO VACANCY
Of all the car resto shows (and there seems to be a ton of 'em these days) I like this one the best. They seem to do the best work (for a TV show), removing the body from the frame and doing high quality work. Chip has to be one of the nicest guys in the business.

They've started a new season, got a new chick , Jessie from other car/truck shows. The only thing I don't like about the show is the "pranking" parts, I wish they'd just take the guy's/gal's car and restore it without all the distress they put the owner through.

Which brings up another TV car resto show topic; I hate that they always give the "crew" 3 weeks or whatever to restore the car. Don't cut corners, take your time and do it right  :)

It's a little inconsistent with keeping my interest and while I like Chip's designs but the cars tend to all adopt to much if his 'signature' elements. I think they have really dialed back the prank element with the more recent episodes...thankfully.

Top Gear, Wheeler Dealers & Chasing Classic Cars are probably my three favorite car shows.

I like Wheeler Dealers too, it's much more "down to earth" I guess you could say. The only thing I don't like :embarrassed: is the theme music (is that what you call it?), it drives me nuts :)

The guy on Chasing Classic Cars puts me to sleep. He was bidding on something this weekend, it went for big bucks. Ugly thing, I can't even recall the make.

We have been known to sit down and watch Chip and his team on more than one occasion. I do like that show, I agree, the pranks sometimes are downright mean, and other times they just kind of fall flat.

While his designs are a lot of the times over the top, I do usually end up liking a lot of what they do.

If I was the lucky guy, and got my car Overhauled, I wouldn't just say "my name is Steve and I've just been Overhauled.... I'd scream it at the top of my lungs

Oh, and I think they finally dumped that damn song they played every time they turned on the car's sound system.

That was wretched. I think I dreaded hearing that song more than anything.

They did some guys truck once, he was a surfer and a lifeguard and they turned the back of the truck into some kind of nifty storage system with drawers and such, that was awesome.

I would love to have him do something for us that was a kind of hobby wagon, to work with being able to haul gear for music or the stupid stuff I get us into.
