Kick Henry Jackassowski
I have some parts on order for a Corona-caster.
So far:
Warmoth swamp ash Tele body/tort guard.
Wilkinson compensated bridge.
Mojotone 4-way pre wired switch
misc hardware
The parts should start arriving on Saturday.

I am ordering a Warmoth neck in 2 weeks. I'm going with a rosewood board.
I should have the body tung oiled, and shielded by the time the neck arrives.

Pickups are the big question.

Looking forward to following the progress!

You gonna go regular style tele pickups, or go alternate like a filtertron in the neck or something?

I want regular Tele pickups. Something not overly bright. I want this to be a classic rock work horse. A guitar to pair with my Epi LP.

I like the regular tele configuration too. I think there's great variety of tones between the trad tele bridge and neck pickups.

For what it's worth I have Bare Knuckle Blackguard 55 Staggers in my tele. I am very happy with them.

Well I got a 1-piece swamp ash body the other day.
It is drying right now, after 2 coats of Tru Oil.
The bridge,and 4-way arrived 3 days ago.
The other parts should be here by next Thursday.
I went with Wilde Noiseless pickups.
All I have left to order is a neck.I hope to get that in a few days.

Pre-oil.

I have a Tele that came with Bare Knuckle "The Boss" pickups, which I love. Classic rock warmth and not too bright.

They live up to the sales pitch:
The Boss is a genuine rhythm powerhouse of Tele performance with a huge range of rounded, muscular tones and traditional Tele character.
The idea behind The Boss Tele set was to take the 42 AWG plain enamel wind of the bridge coil to the max without compromising definition or the authentic twang and grind of a true Tele pickup. The result is a fat, driving set of coils that can still be cleaned up by rolling back on the volume pot, offering up a massive variety of Tele tones, which span clean Country through hot Rock and beyond. The higher output provides a lot more bass response than would normally be expected and a more compressed dynamic, creating a deep tone with excellent sustain. The high-end is sweet and warm and the mids are fat with rich harmonic detail. The neck coil has been wound to balance perfectly in output and sound, available with traditional neck cover or open coil to suit the application. As with all of the Tele coils in the range, hook-up is vintage cloth 'push back' and the bridge coil features a copper plated steel baseplate.

Sounds great! I've been very impressed with what I've heard so far from Bare Knuckle.

Nice!

Didn't you say that was a Warmoth body? Where's the turtle?
I never updated the OP.
Warmoth cancelled the order for the body.
It had to do with the Covid shutdown.

I went with a Hosco swamp ash body.
They were suggested on TDPRI.
I'll see how it works out in a week or so.

My Warmoth neck arrives tomorrow.
I'll put a few coats of Tru Oil on it, and I hope to assemble the guitar next Saturday.
All I am waiting on now is a pack of screws for the pg/control plate.

It was actually the neck pickup route was a little too small. A quick buzz with the dremel and it's in nicely.

i remember when Seymour Duncan came out with the stacked Tele pickups, people complained they were too tall and cavities had to be enlarged for them to fit.
