Where does Paul Rodgers rank?

Duller than cardboard
Bad Company is the epitome of done-to-death classic blues rock. But that voice...

A really good vocalist who ended up in decent to good bands.

I wish Power Station would have stayed together. That was probably the best band he was ever in....

Interestingly, Lynyrd Skynyrd approached Rogers to replace Van Zant when they re-formed after the crash. Rogers was up for the idea, but only wanted to do new material. He did not want to do old Skynyrd tunes when playing live.

He wasn't in Power Station, that was Robert Palmer (and later Michael Des Barres) with John and Andy Taylor of Duran Duran, and Tony Thompson of Chic.

Robert Plant wasn't in Power Station either.

Paul Rodgers was in The Firm with Jimmy Page and that baldy drummer from AC/DC.

Robert Plant was in the Honeydrippers with a whole laundry list of names : Page, Beck, Brian Setzer, Robbie Blunt.

He's that kind of exposed chest hair rock singer I've got no interest in, but in that category, it's probably Robert Plant at the top, and a bunch of guys crowding for second. And Paul is a contender in that sense.

I like Paul Rodgers a lot. For the deep voice bluesy rock, I prefer David Coverdale.
Plus Dave can hit some highs.
