What's the best 'Stephan King movie'?

I'm watching The Green Mile right now on AMC, and I gotta say, I love this movie :embarrassed:

Most movies based on a Stephan King story are pretty hokey, quite frankly.

I thought that The Mist from a few years ago was pretty decent too.

It was a novella included in a 4-novella collection called Different Seasons. Stand by Me was adapted from the same collection (source title: The Body), as was Apt Pupil.
 
As much as I like vampire movies, I've never seen the original Salem's Lot movie. Is it worth netflixing? The newer one that was a mini-series I believe, wasn't very good :(

All 3 are great reads, as is The Shining and The Stand.

It's been 20+ years since I saw it, but I remember it was pretty good.


I really don't like many of his movies, to be honest.
