Help! What pickguard for this pinecaster?

Black single, black triple, tortoise, or white tortise?

Normally, I'd be all for the straight tort. But for some reason the color of the wood makes me think the white pearloid would look cool.
 
Tort. When in doubt, the answer is always tort.
This. Particularly on that pinecaster. That one looks the best by far. If for some reason you choose something different, then the purple one. For Gawd's sake, don't do black, white or mother of toilet seat. Leather looks cool, but I think would drag the pick point if one was actually hitting with the pick, and would also wear funny. If you are super duper player who never hits the pick guard, then not an issue. But not so for me.
 
I'd agree about the tort IF the fretboard was rosewood.

I still say black leather would be killer

Have any of you guys suggesting leather had one like that? Curious as to how they hold up under pick attack, and if they create a little extra drag if your pick contacts the guard.
