I really like the string arrangement and while the vocals don't lend themselves to the intrictae harmonty of the original, I think they work.

I like Lee......good solid singer. But nothing special....

Now Crystal the other night just blew the doors off the place....
 
I've said it before, Crystal is too good for that show. I'll still be surprised if she wins even though she's on a completely different level than the other contestants.
 
After watching "Idol Gives Back" last night, any contestant that has ever been in the top 25 can outperform The Black Eyed Peas. That was a trainwreck.

Even Alicia Keyes was pitchy, dawg. As was Mary J. Blige.

The Carrie Underwood comes out and just nails a really sappy song.

So, in conclusion, people may make fun of AI, but it's producing people who can sing live.

Don't forget Joss Stone.... Despite Jeff Beck letting a 19 year old hopped up on Ecstacy dress him... the two of them are amazing talents.

Crystal was very good the other night... but still has plenty of room for growth before she can do THIS:

I've never seen an entire episode either. I have zero interest in shit like that. I did however watch the Jeff Beck/Joss Stone performance of "I Put A Spell On You" which was absolutely brilliant.
