What do you all use to clean your maple fretboards?

Ugh, if it's a finished maple neck shouldn't you just use polish?

I'm guessing it's his Suhr which has that thin satin, almost unfinished, feel.

I use either Gibson Guitar polish (I haven't run out) or Dr. Duck's Ax Wax

That ruins the mojo - almost as bad as changing the strings......

What's nice about a cheap guitar is that I can take a chance and not care.
I used Orange Glo on a Squier and it not only enhanced the color of the wood but made the mojo more noticable

I'm really worried that you seem to see it getting dirty already. Even tung/gun/tru oil finishes don't show much of anything after hanging out in a music shop for months.

I should add, I use the same spit/sock method for all my guitars/basses, except my gigging bass, which I do not clean at all.
though that might change.

OK... so I used some Ernie Ball Wonder Wipes on the fretboard... made it nice and clean!!! But after playing for a bit, the fretboard was dirty again.

I called the shop that I bought the guitar from and asked what strings what kind of strings they put on the guitar... D'Addario.

I took them off and put on some EB Slinky's(my favorite strings). Before I put the strings on, I used some Naphtha(as suggested by John Suhr).

PERFECT!!!! It cleaned up the fretboard perfectly and after playing the guitar all weekend, no dirt... anywhere.

I guess John Suhr knows what he is talking about.

That just means that D'Addario strings just have so much mojo that some of it leaks out of the strings onto the fretboard.
