Well I've begun packing up the music room.

What a pain in the ass.
So far I've got the drums, monitors, pedals, and recorder all boxed up; all but two guitars relocated to the in-laws' place; and all the processors/power amp in racks and closed up tight.
Looks pretty depressing in there right now.

However, I'm consoling myself with the fact that I'm buying one of these:

for the music room in the new house.

No.
Actually, I'm losing a little room space and a lot of closet space. The new desk will allow me to get more stuff into one spot, though, and free up wall space for other things.
Hopefully, in 5 years or so, we're gonna do a master suite addition over the garage. Then I'll knock out a wall and commandeer the current master bedroom for the super-deluxe studio.
I'm just biding my time until then.

Packing and moving sucks, but it's sooooo nice when it's all in place (at the new place)

I'm in the process of packing up and moving my studio... I'd hate to have to do the rest of the house too. :(

And I am MEGA jealous of the desk... may I ask what that's going to set you back?

Moving is tough.

I have a similar desk, but it's getting old, time for a new one. Mine doesn't have that many rack spaces though, just one in the middle under the monitor, and that's plenty.
