Friday - actually starts Thursday evening. I went to leave the office and suddenly the key would not turn in the lock. It has done this a couple of times and then worked a few minutes later. No such luck. I couldn’t get a locksmith to come out, so I had the lock the door from inside and crawl of my back window. Then, at 1:15 AM, I get a call from a client wanting to make an appointment. Got back to sleep at 3, then up at 7. Got to the office, talked to several locksmiths; the soonest someone would get to me was Saturday morning. I had closing sessions with several clients, climbed out the window and went home to pack the car. Then I went to my gig at the indoor hydroponic park. I discovered that two hour of standing with the guitar is hurting more and more.
Saturday - I got up and crawled through the window so I could meet the locksmith and have my final appointment. The locksmith came out and, of course, the lock worked. He then tried telling me that the problem was I had my key made at Lowes. I pointed out that we also tried my wife’s key, one he made when he replaced the lock a couple of years ago. He went off to make me new keys and then came back and cleaned the lock. It is working beautifully. I had my very last session of my private practice, then Carol and I went to Greenfield, MA to check out an arts center and had lunch. By the time I got home every part of my body seemed to ache. I took some Tylenol and went to bed.
Sunday - Went to church, then went to Walmart to get a window air conditioner for the back rook of the office, about to become my studio. Most of the rearranging is done now, and the movers will be coming on the 17th to carry stuff from the one studio to the other (though I am moving most of my stuff myself as I don’t trust the movers with my studio equipment).
