Its been a long one. I played at the Blue Beet the last three nights and could barely sing after the first song last night my voice was so wrecked. All I can really remember is a blur of this:

I brought an old corner desk home from work for my son to use for school work..he wants to paint it red for some reason so I made him sand the top on it yesterday since I was using it as a workbench and it was a mess

Jack has a guest this week...Jed is one of my wifes co-workers dogs and he is even more laid back than Jack is. Pretty good dog.

Today we took the kids to my sister in laws to swim and BBQ and now we're getting ready for work and school tomorrow.

Friday - swapped the carb on the New Yorker. Went for a cruise. It was HOT out there. Slayed "The Monster" Burger.

Saturday - International Bacon Day! Had a back bacon sandwich for breakfast. A smoothie for lunch. Ribs and wings on the BBQ for dinner.
cleaned the pool in the AM and then Swam with the grand kids all afternoon while the ribs slow cooked.

Sunday - grand daughter's third birthday party and then my friend's birthday. I had a great lamb burger and some more ribs along with an awesome spinach salad with fresh mozzarella, figs, and prosciutto.

Monday - cruised the Niagara Peninsula all afternoon. Checked out some neat little cottage country areas along the north shore of Lake Erie. Dinner at our favourite restaurant, M.T. Bellies. I had the Butter Chicken.

I'm sensing a bit of a theme in my wrap up posts...

Friday I was tired.

Saturday I went to the Penn State game, where they stumbled their way to a 24-14 loss to Ohio U. Then I rushed to another town to watch my son in a soccer tournament.

Sunday we drove to Ithaca, NY, to check the place out. Never had been there. Nice place.

Monday we pulled weeds in the morning and went to a friend's party in the afternoon. My back doesn't feel so good now, and I'm blaming the yard work.

describe this "butter chicken"

Delicious!

Butter Chicken
Pieces of boneless chicken breast simmered in a delicate blend of butter, coriander, tomato and ginger to produce this popular Indian dish. Served on a bed of rice with Naan bread. 12.99
Can be made with cauliflower and chick peas. 10.99

I was thinking about having this, but I wasn't super hungry.

Big Belly Burrito
Roasted turkey, refried black beans, cheddar and Jack cheese bundled in a tortilla with enchilada sauce. Served with a side of Spanish rice. 10.99

that sounds killer.

Friday-had the folks over for a small BBQ. Made some nice ribeye's. Went to see my brothers band.

Saturday- rainy day worked on the white elephant song.

Sunday- more rain, more white elephant

Monday- more of the same, rain, white elephant.

Friday - Nothing of note except played some guitar

Saturday - Finished up White Elephant recording and mixing. Got a 5 mile bike ride in. Started on building a 1/87th Roco Apache Helicopter and played some guitar

Sunday - Nothing special except playing some bass and guitar

Monday - Worked on the helicopter. Played some guitar. Got a 5 mile bike ride in.

Played until my fingers couldn't take it anymore. Shipped one of my guitars to a sick friend who sold all of his gear for $20K to a shop, including some vintage, to pay medical bills. :(

Painted the rest of the living room except for the upper areas that need a scaffold.

Working Monday night, but getting some OT $$.

Chicken Makhani is one of my favorite things EVER.

Friday - worked, came home and got things ready for my niece to visit. SHe arrived about 1:embarrassed:0 AM. I got to sleep about 4:30 - 5:embarrassed:0 AM.

Saturday - got up at 7:embarrassed:0 AM, went to the office where I waited in vain until 1:embarrassed:0 for one of my scheduled clients to show. No such luck. Saturday evening Carol, Monica, and I went to Amherst where we had an excellent Indian dinner. (Since Mo will ask, I had Mattar Paneer, Carol had Vegetable Biryani, and Monica had Mushroom Chicken. We all shared Vegetable Pakora and Naan.) From there we went to the Pioneer Valley Folk Society's monthly gathering. They have a round robin of songs/poems/ stories on a theme (this month was Great Britain), a featured performer, then another round robin. I sang "Down by the Riverside" the second round; it was beautiful to hear all the voices joining in.

Sunday - Carol, Monica, and I went with Carol's son and his fiance for brunch. Carol, Rob, and Leigh went to a family party while Monica and I did some tag sale hunting. Sunday evening there was an engagement party for Carol's son that also included viewing old family slides.

Monday - Rob and Leigh came at 9:embarrassed:0 AM to pick up Monica for the return trip to DC. Carol and I went walking at the Rock House reservation, then went for lunch. At 4:embarrassed:0 I went to the office and worked until 8:embarrassed:0.

Tuesday - Came to work and weighed in. I hit the 10 pound mark! Only about another 40 to go.

Had a wedding this weekend... not a particularly big or fancy one (prob 150 people) but it was a fun one. The girl in the red dress I recognized because I DJ'd her wedding just over a year ago. I think that's how I landed this one because the bride and groom had fun at the last wedding. I also booked another 2013 wedding the next day. DANCING-banana

Was the first gig with my new PRX615 speakers. I used one on the other side of the room, hidden under a table to play music for a slide show. On the dance floor, I used 2 615's for the mains, 2 EV 18" subs and then used a summed mono 615 sideways under the cloth of the DJ table. It made the sound right in the sweet spot of the dance floor just stunning. (almost 3000 watts  )

Sunday was mostly relaxing.... but then I worked on my landscaping wall... got about 15 feet of it done, at about 16" high. The trench is dug on the other side of the patio for the next 15 feet. I'm also waiting on some concrete caulk before I mount the cap stones across the top.

major upgrade at work on Friday and Saturday.

Sunday took the wife and kids to Disney World

Monday took the canoe out for some fun.

Friday - Worked on a couple new band songs for Saturday's gig.

Saturday - Got in a short, fast run first thing in the morning. Then we went to a huge tent sale at the running store where they blow out old shoe models and stuff they no longer carry really cheap. I got some new sandals and Mrs D got two new pairs of shoes. Then I ran several errands and loaded up for the afternoon deck gig at Wrigley's. Aside from a couple bursts of rain it was not a bad gig. My voice was not in the best shape, but the new songs went off ok. I also got to meet DFB from the forum at the show. He was nice enough to ride down and listen for a couple of sets (thanks for coming out!). After the show I got home, unloaded the car, ate, went to bed.

Sunday - Very early AM ten mile run up Waterton canyon followed by church. I ran a bunch of errands in the afternoon then watched a new anime with #1 daughter for a couple of hours. Made dinner and did a few chores around the house and to bed early.

Monday - Up really early again to go work a vendor booth at a race for the store that sponsors my race team. Came home to work on my recording entry and discovered Mrs D had decided to tear apart her craft room all day and it is right next to the studio. No recording for me today. Did a few more things around the house and basically took it easy.

Worked on the bathroom. Worked on the Jeep. Hung out with mum a lot, her brother died Friday. THat pretty much sums it up.

Received a broken grill, tried to fix it, ended up buying a new grill, couldn't get it to work, and then Rev helped me fix it over the phone. :thu:

Had my D&D group over for dinner last night... grilled out hot dogs and sausages, plus made mac and cheese.

Practiced a lot for my gig tomorrow night.

We were expecting rain most of the weekend, but it held off for the most part.

Friday, I think we just chilled at home. I worked on my recordingfest entry for a few hours.

Saturday: Took the pups for about a 2 mile walk, then went to Charleston and I ended up buying a cheap road bike for the upcoming triathlon. Saturday I worked on my song some more.

Sunday: It was our anniversary and we celebrated by going to Kanawha State Forest and doing about a 9 mile hike. After that we went home and made a nice steak lunch. Then we goofed off around the house the rest of the day.

Monday we took the pups for another walk in the morning, then took the road bikes out for a 16 mile ride in the afternoon. Then we came home and watched a Top Gear marathon while making lunches and breakfasts for this week.
