The usual golf, guitar, and gastronomy.

The deer were all stirred up, I guess they can sense that hunting season is open. I had a fine buck with full antlers run in front of me within just a few feet.

Also, Sunday morning was really foggy. (This picture is actually from a few years ago, but all fog on the golf course looks the same).

Friday, closed on our house in PA, then drove to Daytona Beach Shores to move into our beach house full time. Saturday, cleaned and slept. Same for Sunday. Made some solid headway today. We had a total gut renovation at the beach house while we were in PA getting that house ready to sell. Sold off everything in PA so we are starting over from scratch at this point.

Friday: visited my gran after work.

Saturday: walked Lola and Mrs jbj down to mother in law's as mrs jbj was going into town for gin tasting.

Had a few beers en route home then did a bunch of diy when the house was empty. Spent 3 hours fixing the washing machine that will now take around 10 minutes now I know what I'm doing :headsmash:

Sunday: my cousin and a friend flew in from Belfast for the football. Had them over for breakfast in the new house then we all headed out to the game and beers. I had £20 on 3-0, it finished 3-1 :gah: met my dad for a pint after it then headed home to watch junk on TV with Mrs jbj.

Are you retiring, or just relocating?

First full week back in the Bay after a couple of months in the PNW. I think I got my new bike sorted out enough and was able to play electric guitars again. Did some aimless noodling because I finally could. Almost have caught up on the yardwork that didn't get done while we were gone.

Wrote a couple of emails and reviews on the Subaru dealership in Salem Or that bailed us out when our Forester had a coolant bypass valve failure on the way back. Made for a long day a week ago Friday. I'm way too old to drive 700 miles in a day but it had to be done. Thankful that we were close to a dealer and the folks there took our plight seriously and made a super effort to get the car fixed in less than a day (still required us to stay overnight but they gave us a car gratis and helped find a local hotel that would take dogs :thu:). And the work was covered under warranty so we didn't spend a dime

Stayed home sick today, picked up some kind of bug at some point and felt bad enough yesterday to call it for today. Not covid again, thankfully. Re-watched a couple episodes of Sweet Tooth.

Yesterday was a total down day - ate some soup, had a nap, wife cooked a turkey, I helped the eldest child with the mashed potatoes.

Saturday was a thing for the horsie part of the kids' 4h club, it was a long day. Thought it was allergies kicking my ass all day but it was probably the oncoming cold I didn't know I had.

Umm, yeah, I think that's about it.

Gigs, including one with Marcia Ball which was pretty rad.

Wife and kid were getting over the flu. Not sure how I never got it, but I’ll take. No more fevers on Sunday so washed sheets and what not. Looking forward to sleeping in my bed again!
