The only loyalty my Dad has had since I can remember is buying used American cars. He owned something from just about every American Mfg though the 60s-70s-80s-90s with the exception of AMC & IH.
None, really. We had 2 Hondas for most of my childhood, but not out of any sense of loyalty, they just ran perfectly for hundreds of thousands of miles and we never had to replace them. Now I have a Honda and my parents have Toyotas.
My Dad was a General Motors man overall. It might be a Chevy, an Olds or a Buick, but it was all GM. Now, he has branched out. But back in the day . . .
My dad was a Caddy man. As a kid, he'd always wanted a Cadillac, so when he got some success, he bought his first, and rarely looked back. He did drive a Jeep for a short time while we lived in CT, but then he went back to Caddy and stayed there.
