I picked it up at UPS, and I can't believe this thing -- it is beautiful and perfect! In fact, it still had the hang-tag with the $1099 price - I got it for $750, free shipping! The case is fantastic and it was set up and ready To go after some very minor tuning. I'll take photos when I get home from work tomorrow, because I want to take it out into the sunshine to shoot it.

This is much better than the Tele that you were also considering...and this is coming from someone whose favorite guitars are Teles. Those big pickguarded CBS monstrosities don't compare to this guitar, despite some wonderful music being produced on them. Were I in the market for a SG, Les Paul, or 335, I'd be looking at the comparable Guilds before the Gibsons.

We live in California -- We've owned this place since 2010 and have never used the fireplace! Anyway -- It's a gas fireplace, which I think are rather silly, anyway.....
