Hot or Not? "Twang King" guitar

I think it was the guy who built the body for the guitar in my avatar who said that he was just swamped with La Cabronita body requests. Fender may be blowing a chance to make a ton of money by keeping the La Cabronita artificially scarce.

I love it!
For a good amount less, you can get something very close yet great quality from Logan Custom Guitars.

Not only do I still want the guitar in the op, it's making me want a bigsby on a guitar for the first time ever.

Guitar in the OP is hot. So are those Logans. I'm pretty enamoured with teles at the moment, though, so that could be it. :embarrassed:

Everything I've heard about Logan has been outstanding.

I've played a few Logans over the years, I've been to his shop (he lives about 12 miles from me), and I've tried out some if his guit-fiddles. I was going to buy one of his Esquire builds, when I got cold feet. I still feel bad in a way about backing out of the deal [it was an Esquire in emerald green, with an SD Broadcaster pickup). Bob hadn't gotten any payment for, or heard from the buyer about in over a year - I mentioned I was buying it on the TDPRI, and the guy who commissioned it, came forward, and said he couldn't pay Bob, due to being out of work, for over a year, and he'd miss not having the guitar, but that I should go ahead and buy it anyway. I didn't feel right about it (in spite of the original buyer saying that he had no job offers in sight). I backed out of the deal to buy the guitar, and told the original buyer to get in touch with Bob, to work something out.

Bob still offered to build me an Esquire, and as far as I know, his offer still stands to build me a thinline Esquire. I've been debating doing so. It looks like I may be getting a bonus this Tuesday at work. Maybe I'll take Bob up on his offer

the thing i don't like about the Warmoths is that you can't get it with a standard tele control plate. again, i want the extra controls.

I was looking around at ASAT Tributes and Squier thinlines to find mod possibilities, but it is tough finding the right thing. Closest would be the CV thinline or a ASAT Tribute Bluesboy, but i am not sure how they are routed. I may email Warmoth just for grins to see what the extra control route would cost. That would be a fun project. I emailed Logan just to check, but I think it is out of my price range.

The TV Jone pickups look to run about $253 before shipping, and then there is the bigsby for another hundred or so. So that would be $379 for a CV Thinline, $260 for pups, 110 for bigsby, which adds up to about $750 unless a guy could find some stuff on sale.

There's a guy on HC selling a squier VM thinline without pickups for $100, if that would fit your need better.

I like the sound, not sure if I'd ever have a use for that sound though, and the pickguard is
