Yep.
She will be at my buddy, Beav's, Hot Water Inn, a hostel with a little pub and stage. Beav is a good guy, musician, and brings interesting artists into town. I might have to go, though it will be past my bed time.

So hipstery!

TOMORROW!!! 7-10pm Esme Patterson with First Chair. Esme has been on Leno, Conan and the Letterman show and has collaborated with Shakey graves on a number of songs. This show if gonna be a good one. Don't miss it. $18 to the bands. Good times.
That’s 30-something white mom on a Target run music.
She grew up in Boulder and played with her band Paper Bird in Denver. She is a mountain hippy. Or what I call a mountain hippy. I am pretty sure she like yoga, bicycles, (probably mountain bikes), likes to hike and/or nordic ski, has slept in a yurt more than once, etc.
I frankly don't know, or care, what cool is. I don't expect it out of myself or others. I do like people to be cool to each other.

Not if you dig deep enough. Come on out to the Hot Water Inn. You will find the remaining bastion of ski bum culture, with a heavy influence of young hippyish mountain art and music, with an Inn proprietor with no safety net, no savings, no backup plan, who reaches out to others with an old school love your neighbor heart, to the extent that he gets burned sometimes. The inn is in an older property at the back base of Baldy, that might be sold out from under him at some point, if the owner gets the right offer. But currently the owner likes that he makes rent money of Beav's use of the premises. So, there you will find Beav (who also runs a snowboard podcast with some other guy) and all his buddies who also get by on a subsistence living in order to live where they do, and have time and energy and desire to be outside. His group of friends from the young to the not quite as young were who I was standing with on the Bernie side of the gym a couple years ago. Boulder has that scene too. Getting harder and harder, and you have to dig to find it. But the underground is there too.mountain hippy is another word for trust fund hipster or dot com boomer
I'm pretty sure people who work the grunt jobs in Boulder can't even afford to live there, probably gotta bus in from loveland or something
That's fine. But if it makes Beav a little money, and brings some people into his Inn to gather and be happy for a night, I am good with it.i just now listened to bits of the songs and I thing Peen was spot on....this is Mom radio for driving to Target after morning yoga class and a stop at starbucks for a fluff drink masquerading as a coffee drink.
this matches my observations perfectly.Actual hip kids are whatever is younger than millennials and they’re super into weed and hip hop and wearing metal band apparel.
Target moms listen to mainstream Country. This is very well known.

My wife is already done with the local country station. “They play the same 12 songs over and over!” I introduced her to Thunderpussy yesterday. We’ll see how that goes over. They’re playing here next month.
