it'll actually cause an inbalance in your hips if you hold that position long enough. that will lead to knee and back issues.
 
I had always played with the guitar on my picking hand leg, with a strap not quite supporting the guitar. For the first ti e tried it on the other leg (have a stool with a foot rest) and liked that better. Not that I have slot of playing time, but interesting...now to watch and wrestle with the podcast.
 
well, dang, wish I'd known about the no-no to footstools rule.
I don't use 'em while playing, ut often have one foot propped up when playing on the computer.
 
btw - i have some money on an Amazon gift card, and i'm thinking about getting one of those Dynarette rests. which size should i get?
