The Star Wars Fanboi, I am excited thread . . .

Yeah that's right. I am excited. Very. So I have to post a counterpoint to that negative nancy thread.

Finishing watching the Return of the Jedi tonight with my daughter so she is up to speed. Saw my first SW movie in an empty theater when I was in 8th grade, on a catholic school holiday, before anyone knew about the films. It felt life changing at the time. Still love the movies. I like Abrams Star Trek too.

Anyone else?

FRANCHISING OPPORTUNITY:
A Star Wars themed tailor/seamstress shop, Sith Lord & Tailor.

Slogan: "We have altered your garment. Pray we don't alter it any further."
I already liked that on your FB. And here. Very good, sir.

PS. Watched that line you reference with my daughter sometime over the weekend.

The opening night for A New Hope actually had a long line, which is surprising since it was just word of mouth among scimitar geeks. We saw it in Houston' Galleria back when it still had theaters and the line stretched all the way to the ice rink.
I'd enjoy seeing the new one right away, but the massive crowds are a huge turn off. Opening night tickets were sold out 2+ months ago.

I’m excited. But I’m not going to see it until I’ve read a few negative reviews. I want to make sure J J didn’t poop out another derivative action movie like he did with Star Trek.

Looks like some early reviews are in, and they are overwhelmingly positive.

Which means the backlash of internet movie "experts" proclaiming that it is a steaming pile of bantha poo will get started in about 20 minutes... :embarrassed:

Already excited and the very good reviews have kicked it up a notch. I'm booked to watch in the 3D Laser IMAX in Leicester Square after Christmas :rawk:

I'm excited. The trailers made me feel like I was 12 again. Can't wait to see it, but I will probably go next week since I don't really want to freeze my ass off waiting in line for hours on end.

My son's hand machined all metal replica of Luke's Return of the Jedi light saber arrived just in time. He has opening night tickets.
