The one-two punch.....

We got our wonderful nasty winds list night. Gusts up beyond 60 MPH. Of course like an idiot I was out running in that stuff. It made for one heck of a workout running directly into a 45 - 50 MPH wind with some serious gusts. Serious enough that it took down a metal light pole right next to the lake we run around.

Then this morning were were supposed to get about 1/2 inch of snow. I watched the news before bed and that is what they said. !/2 inch. Woke up to about 4" and it is still coming down hard. At least the wind let up a lot or it would be a total disaster driving this morning.

Yea, a friend of mine who lives out there mentioned 80 mph gusts... Not fun...

Who needs a parachute. On my second lap around the lake when I was straight into the wind I was leaning WAY forward and pushing hard.....and going almost nowhere. If the wind had let up at that point their would have been an epic face plant into the sidewalk. and a parachute in that wind would have had me in the next county...

I wind. Of course, I love it a little less than I used to now that I have a roof and siding to worry about. And as always, I'm supremely jealous of your snowfall.

110 AM and the snow has stopped and the sun is out. I think we got about 8" at our house total. Since we were only supposed to get 1/2 inch I am assuming the other 7 1/2" were supposed to go to Cincinnati, but now will not.....

Ok - make it a 1 -2 -3 punch. Mrs D just called and informed me that the wind took out a portion of our fence. Replacing fence posts in 7" of snow and cool weather is not my idea of how to spend my free time....
