What started as a joke soon became reality.

Introducing the PV Fury 158.

Everyones favourite super saturated shitty 90s practice amp reduced down into pedal format.

Running at the same voltages as the original via internal chargepump the PV Fury delivers all those nasty black metal, punk, thrash tones with gain to spare.

Handmade in Dunedin, New Zealand with quality components and hardware.

Pop it open to reveal a trim pot on the PCB to take it from pedal to preamp.

Between 1981 and 1985, I sold off all my gear - not having time (or money) to waste on it, since I was finishing college and starting a family. Back in about 1989, after I'd sold all my gear off, a Peavey Rage 158, along with a Squier II HHS were my reintroduction to the guitar world (IIRC, I got them both for ~ $200 - the strat came with a dozen sets of Fender Bullet strings - at one of GCs late, lamented "green tag" sales). It wasn't a great amp, but every time I hit the switch, it turned on. It was finally replaced (in 2000) by a Tech 21 Trademark 10, but it did the job for me at that time.

Actually though, I've always sort of wondered how these crappy amps would work as just a preamp. Take away the shitty output section, speaker and cab and feed an amp with it as a distortion pedal.

Settling my curiosity is not worth the price of these things though.

Seriously? I have stupid GAS for that Miku pedal, even though I have no use for it and by all reports it's too laggy for any practical use.
