Soundcheck done, just a short trip home for a quick shower and a warmup beer, and it's ON.

Yep. Pointy, sparkly, purple, 80's. Basically the opposite of everything I like. It would make my obsession a little easier, I think, if she liked a couple of my guitars.
It's 24.5.
Luckily the only tree on my property is a brand new apple tree in the back yard that we planted last month.

I guess it's pretty close to Gibson. I know that they're technically 24.75, but I've read that, in actuality, they're about 24.6.

I like it so far (the scale). I've owned several Gibbos over the years, even though I don't own any now, so it was familiar. It was nice to hear LPier tones from a PRS, sounded nice and warm through the blues Junior.

Though I'm learning they aren't all the same.

Im gonna try to do some trading for what I can but the truss rod and fretboard I'll have to buy. Those aren't too high, though. $30 or so for a slotted fretboard and $20 or so for a truss rod.
Will have to go either with no fretboard inlays or do them myself. Simple dots wouldn't be hard, but getting the spacing all correct will be tough. Need to find a pattern or something.

Just talked the wife into salad and beer. I was like, OK, Imma get off the bus at 6:40 (bus is right in front of the bar - Jewish Irish place called the Star and Shamrock - so meet me there AT THAT TIME, and she was cool with that plan) 
BTW, this salad I often speak of, has about a pound of cold cuts on top (seriously), and an egg. It's only a salad, in that, it could not actually fit on a bun.
I've been drinking half and halfs there lately (half Guiness, half Harp), and they've been hittin the spot as well.
