Spring Snow In Monument, Colorado!

At the moment, I'm snowed in and the big flakes keep falling. This pic was taken from my back door off the deck and into my backyard.

Nice. Well - nice that it's falling there and not here. It actually was snowing on my way to work this morning, but it wasn't sticking and now it is back to just rain. That is the really wet, heavy stuff too that I hate shoveling....

I'm pretty sure we're done with snow until around November.

We sure as hell better be.

My sentiments exactly. Monument is about 1500 feet higher than Denver. Snow is, unfortunately, not out of the question here just yet....

Well, I guess this pretty much kills any thought of relocating to CO Springs in teh future...or does it ???

OK, CO-dians - which winter would be more palatable: CO or Chicago?

That looks beautiful! Here in PDX, I'm wondering whether I want to ski or mtn bike this weekend. The higher elevation trails are still snowed under, but there are some really nice river rides open already. Last w/e I got my bike dialed-in w/ a whole new drivetrain and did a short ride. Now, for the first time in years, I'm thinking about skipping volcano skitour season.

Colorado by a huge margin. The company I work for relocated here from Chicago (I hired on after the move) and they all mention a huge improvement in the weather. It's snowing now. Sunday is supposed to be sunny and 62. It was over 70 a few days ago. There is no comparison. Much, MUCH better weather here.

What the hell are you doing?

And see, to me I could handle the snow (we get our share) - it's the freaking COLD and WIND in January/February.

From what I've read about CO, depending on the locale while there may be a lot of snow, it doesn't hang around for very long, and you guys don't go subzero as often.
