Song-a-Day Challenge

I can't remember who started this thing over at HC, but is anyone here doing this? It's the 2nd day of July and already I'm wondering if I'll be able to keep it up.

This is my 1 July track: Somewhere in This House.

There's no way I'd be able to write and record a song a day and still be married on August 1.

I'd consider myself lucky if I could write just one song in July.
I'm having a hell of a writer's block these days...(and virtually no time to do it either...)

Not only am I have writer's block, I'm having player's block too. Other than at a band practice last weekend, I've probably played an electric guitar for less than 1/2 hour combined in the last 2 months.

I've not even started a recording project since doing Black Bird for the Beatlesfest, and I just did an acoustic guitar track and two vocal tracks for that one.

The monstrosity in my post is the first thing I've written in over two years. I'm hoping this thing will help me get back on my compositional feet.

And I see it as less of a "song-a-day" than, as was mentioned in the HC thread, but more of a "thing-a-day." Just a recording a something new each day. It's gonna be an interesting experiment for me.
