Im not into gaming whatsoever. But i figure, by the time i run around buying lots of different stuff, i could just take care of the whole thing with one purchase.


Am i going to be able to find one? Or is this one of those "sell out as soon as the shipment gets to the store" type things?
 
Wii's are a blast!

It took us about 6 weeks to find one. You just need to keep popping in to store that carry them and hope they have a recent shipment in. I finally nailed one at Best Buy about two months ago.
 
My wife got me mine on eBay last year...she paid a little more...but man, we all have so much fun playing it together. It really is a family system. Wii love it.

Yikes, what scares me is im running out of time. Payday for me is next Thursday. After my car fiasco, i have to wait til then. That leaves me one week to pick one up.

gulp. This is a bummer.
 
Um, good luck with that. Theyre expensive, but fun. It is definitely something you'd play with them. Theyre not systems for the typical gamer they are a system that EVERYONE has fun playing.
 
i just picked one up for my kids for christmas at gamestop....i know they are getting more in before christmas....i think you'll be ok....it's the "wii fit" for wii that seems to always be sold out....

And that is why I really like it. I can sit with my kids and take turns playing Wii sports and everyone is participating, physically active (to a degree), and having fun!

i'm not a gamer but i'm hoping this is something me and the kiddos can all play together....i got the extra controller that comes with 9 more games....

Yeah, i heard its good family activity thing, and they really want it, so it will be nice to see them smile, cause i think when they asked they were thinking no way it would actually happen. hahaha
 
that makes it the perfect gift.

Budget $250 for the system.

$50 for the sports game with bowling and all that and an extra controller.


There's a Holiday bundle right now with a game or two, but you still need an extra controller to play together.


I find it amusing they call it "wii" and then provide only one controller.
 
Maybe i can buy the game, and my parents can buy them the bundle thingie.

Does it not have any games at all with just the unit?

It comes with the Sports game. Its great.

yeah, that is lame. I would have prefrred a package that cost $300, but came with 2 controllers.

Yeah, im going to have to do that. Im going to have to really work at it, since i cant get one until at least thursday. Im hoping one will be available somewhere.
 
I havent really yet, since im not in a postition to spend yet, and i figure whatever info i get today will probably be obsolete by thursday. I wonder if it gets shipped thursday if it would get to me by Christmas eve. (I have the kids on christmas eve every year).

I dunno, we'll see. Im sure i can figure it out.
