So it looks like there is gonna be a chihlicat

A good friend of mine who lives in WV noticed this cat hanging around her house. Well, then it started to meow at her and her hubby. And hang a round a lot more. And then it tried to come inside. They eventually let it. Now it sits on their laps constantly. Problem is, she is EXTREMELY allergic to it. She feels so horrible putting it outside. I told her we'd take it. Apparently it isnt even a year old, so the vets estimate.

He will chase it because he wants to play, but I dont think Chewie would ever intentionally hurt another living thing. He sees cats at the pet store all the time, he just walks up to their cages and sniffs them.

Getting along may be a bit optimistic. I think he will absolutely scare the crap out of the cat, but the dog isnt allowed upstairs so the cat will have someplace to go at least. We will have to teach him to be easy with the cat and eventually Im hoping they'll be cool to be around each other. Having said that, apparently he caught a bird in his mouth without harming it and let it go right away, so it does seem that he knows how to be a bit gentler with smaller animals.

Maybe not if the cat is young. We got our cats when they were about six weeks old and at the time had a 110 lb dog. The dog was older and the cats were afraid at first but after about 4 months they were comfortable enough to sleep together.

Now our cat is about 8 and I think he's still pissed at me for bringing another dog home.
 
It is a pretty kitty. I am allergic to kitties, and my dogs are not very good with kitties, they do like to plaly with them, the kitties just don't usually fair so well in the games.

I hope you guys really get along well. That is one cute Kitty.

Several years ago I adopted a dog and a cat within a couple of months of each other... the first week or so was pretty rough, but eventually the kitten liked the dog more than she liked me! :eek:

I miss them both very much :)(), but now I have my buddy Murphy:

Cute!@

I used to be a cat guy, but I married someone who is alergic to them. I just found out via facebook that my cat Milo is still alive and living with my ex-roommates sister...he's gotta be about 15 years old now....:)
