Actually I hadn't thought of that. That makes sense and is something I need to do.
 
Looks good, sounds good, and yeah, squeezing that b3 is such a big part of what all the greats do in that style :thu: Guys like Angus Young pretty much never hit a b3 dead on.
 
The improvement of audio mix and video over previous videos is excellent. It will definitely stand out compared to the crappy webcam lessons that are out there.

I wouldn't mind if you had a lapel mic or maybe a boom mic closer to your head to make your vocal part a little more "direct" sounding, but that's a minor issue compared to the quality jump of the rest.

Even the plain text lead in was clean and professional.

Actually I had a LDC mic on a boom near my head, but because I am not able to use a large monitor with this camera :)mad:) I had to guess as to were to place the mic to keep it out of frame. I have a couple of Lavaliers but I couldn't get enough level out of them. I think I'm using them wrong.
 
The boom is cool and the quality is good, probably just needs a little bump. Even if you had someone else help set the mix levels of the guitar and vocals (it's difficult for you to do because you can hear your own voice in your head), once those levels are set, you'll know where the settings are and will be golden moving forward.

Aside from that - it looked and sounded great. The trick with a lavalier mic is to wear it as close to your mouth as possible. I do hear what Baimun was saying about your voice being a bit 'distant', but it really did not distract from the quality of the lesson at all and was a marked (no pun intended) improvement over your old setup. Youtube compresses the heck out of sound anyways. The video images are very sharp.
 
Thanks everyone. I'll try again with the lav. I notice some folks are using a headset mic but I don't care of the look of that.
 
Just "cracked the code" to getting notation on screen. I'll have a new version of the video online this afternoon. :)
