Mojo Request Show Tonight - Update

Deep Eddy

Argle Bargle or Foofaraw?
I've been playing with an adult group through the local School of Rock, and tonight is our big debut show. There are 10 people in the group, and I think everyone invited at least 10 people, so we could be playing for a big crowd. We're rehearsed (maybe even too rehearsed) and ready to go. I'm starting to feel a little jittery, but I'll be fine once I hit the stage.

It'll be a lot of fun. If there is any good video or audio, I'll post something up after the show.

.but we would want to see bad video even more. Have fun. Break a leg.

I've been swamped with other things since Sunday morning, so I haven't had a chance to give more details. Overall, the show went really well. There were at least 60-75 people there, and the crowd really enjoyed it. Everyone played well and we had fun onstage. (Playing live in front of a crowd is really addictive.) We had a pro sound man and PA system, so we could actually hear ourselves through monitors (that was a refreshing change of pace). There were a few times where the train started to go off the tracks, but we managed to avoid a total derailment. I don't feel that I played my best that night, but I'm pretty satisfied with my own playing.

Against my better judgment, here's a recording of LZ's Rock and Roll. Somehow the singer got her timing off, and it was not our best performance of the song. During the solo on Rock and Roll, there are a couple of big bends about midway through that I didn't play right. The string started to slip under my finger tip so I wasn't able to do the full bend. I've never blown that part before, but I doubt anyone in the audience noticed or cared. Still, it bugs me.

Here is a pic of me on stage.
